Unity Opt Out

Unity is a private Health Information Exchange (HIE), launched by Powers Health that gathers patient records from various sites of care delivery. It allows participating clinicians to access patient health information that may not be available in the native electronic health record, creating a longitudinal view of patient care.

Unity harvests patient care records from diverse sources including Powers Health (Community Hospital, St. Catherine Hospital, St. Mary Medical Center and Powers Health Rehabilitation Center), the Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE), Quest, LabCorp and a growing list of Powers Health Partners’ provider offices. Unity conforms to all HIPAA and HITECH policies and utilizes state-of-the-art monitoring software to insure privacy and confidentiality of data.

Why should you participate in Unity?

• To provide your physician with access to all your data in the hospital, physician practices and other medical providers.
• Lab Corp and Quest will be contributing data to Unity and your physician will be able to have immediate access to these lab results
• Powers Health will share your confidential health information with your physician in their office through Unity
• Unity through the Indiana Health Information Exchange will have access to information from all other medical facilities in Indiana
• Unity will utilize advanced analytics to identify potential health risks related for each patient ultimately providing for early intervention for illness
