Coronary Scan

This screening uses the most advanced CT imaging to take X-ray pictures of your heart that can detect calcium deposits. These deposits are a sign of heart disease. This non-invasive test is fast, painless and recommended for individuals with one or more risk factors for heart disease. Some risk factors for heart disease include a family history of heart disease, smoking, physical inactivity, high blood pressure or high blood cholesterol, obesity or overweight, diabetes, and poor diet. This screening is not recommended for individuals who have known blockages or stents in the heart arteries or who have had coronary artery bypass surgery.
