Lung Cancer Screening

Community Hospital, St. Catherine Hospital, St. Mary Medical Center, and the Community Stroke & Rehabilitation Center offers a low-dose CT scan to screen for lung cancer.  Screenings are available in Crown Point, East Chicago, Hobart, Munster, Schererville, St. John, Portage and Valparaiso. 

A doctor's order is required. 

Screening Criteria:

• Between 55 and 77 years of age
• Current or former smoker who has quit fewer than 15 years ago
• Have smoked 1 pack/day for 30 years or 2 packs/day for 15 year
