The hospitals of Powers Health perform more than 3 million tests annually with the help of state-of-the-art technology manned by highly skilled anatomic and clinical pathology specialists.

Specialty board-certified pathologists, medical technologists, laboratory technicians and phlebotomists work together at our advanced lab facilities to ensure patients receive accurate results with a quick turnaround.

Our laboratory comprises anatomical and clinical testing departments that are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), among others. 

Outpatient laboratory services: easy access, quick results

Count on convenient, timely and accurate results from our outpatient laboratories. No appointments are needed for blood collection and most tests at our outpatient laboratories, immediate care centers and other locations throughout Northwest Indiana.

Nurturing the future of medical laboratory science

Our laboratory is committed to nurturing the next generation of medical laboratory scientists. We created Powers Health Community Hospital Medical Laboratory Science School, an 11-month program designed for baccalaureate graduates in the sciences.

We offer courses in clinical laboratory sciences and an intensive, 24-week in-lab clinical experience with training personnel.
