services

Powers Health Occupational Health offers a variety of services to fit your needs. Our team also can adapt to meet your requirements for onsite services and additional testing.

With years of experience, our team of certified occupational medicine doctors, RN case managers and Occupational Health professionals provide expert care while adhering to current rules and regulations. Our providers focus on decreasing lost time, minimizing OSHA recordable injuries and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. You can expect same-day work status reports and an excellent physician-specialty referral service, if access to further care is needed.

Certified collectors and technicians perform our drug and alcohol screenings. We provide rapid turnaround of results to our clients, and can provide "collect-only" services for companies who have their own contracted lab and Medical Review Officer. We are also certified collection sites for DISA and the Building Construction Resource Center (BCRC).

Our services include:

  • DOT, 5-panel and 10-panel; non-DOT and rapid urine drug tests, with other panels available upon request
  • Breath alcohol testing
  • Saliva alcohol testing
  • Hair drug testing
  • Federally certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) services
  • Random pool management

Department of Transportation exams are performed by certified medical examiners and adhere to FMCSA and DOT requirements. We use an online portal for DOT examinations. The online portal allows the driver to complete his/her portion of the exam before the clinic appointment. On arrival, our Occupational Health team completes the physical and immediately submits exam results to the National Registry.

Our comprehensive physicals include:

  • A full review of medical history
  • A thorough physical exam
  • A completed medical exam certificate
  • Prompt reporting to the national registry

  • Audiograms – performed by staff certified by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
  • Bloodborne pathogen evaluation and monitoring
  • Heavy metal laboratory monitoring
  • Quantitative and qualitative respirator fit testing
  • Respirator clearance
  • Spirometry (PFT) – performed by staff certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)

Physicals may be customized to specific needs and range from basic to complex. Common components include:

  • Audiograms – performed by CAOHC certified staff
  • Cardiac stress tests
  • Electrocardiograms (EKG)
  • Functional capacity and physical performance exams
  • Pre-employment and exit laboratory testing
  • Quantitative or qualitative respirator fit testing
  • Medical consultation services for purposes of return-to-work, fitness-for duty, etc.
  • Respirator questionnaire & clearance evaluation
  • Spirometry (PFT)-performed by NIOSH-certified staff
  • Vision exams

Proactive injury intervention and safety initiatives increases productivity and overall profit by preventing company payouts to OSHA recordable worker’s compensation claims.
