Our pharmacists provide expert knowledge to help patients manage their drug therapy during their hospital stay and when they return home.

We offer bedside assistance to patients to ensure they understand all of their medications. At Community Hospital, St. Catherine Hospital and select care areas at St. Mary Medical Center, our concierge pharmacy service delivers medications to patients before they leave the hospital so they can easily continue with their therapy at home.

Our outpatient retail pharmacies serve the public at two convenient Northwest Indiana locations: St. Catherine Hospital Retail Pharmacy in East Chicago and Community Hospital Retail Pharmacy in Munster.

In addition, Community Hospital offers the Community Hospital Anticoagulation Clinic to follow patients who take prescribed anticoagulation (blood thinning) or anti-diabetic therapies, while the St. Mary Medical Center offers the Powers Health Anticoagulation Clinic for patients who take prescribed anticoagulation (blood thinning) therapies.

Using advanced computer programming and state-of-the-art robotic automation fill, our staff can track pertinent health information about patients and fill prescriptions in a timely manner. Working from the same electronic medical record allows our pharmacists and physicians to collaborate and ensure medication safety. Our pharmacists are available for questions and counseling on all prescriptions to help ensure medication compliance.
